CHICAGO, Ill. - The Wisconsin men's tennis team sent eight players to the 2025 ITA Men's Midwest Regional Championships in Chicago, Illinois over the weekend.
The Badgers started the 2025 Midwest Regionals on Thursday with 2-0 performances from both Collin Beduhn and Tomas Zlatohlavek in the Qualifying Draw. Eight Badgers participated in the Main Draw round of 64, with six of them earning victories.
Beduhn, Michael Minasyan, and Sachiv Kumar earned match wins in the round of 32 on Saturday, before falling in the round of 16 that evening. Beduhn lost in straight sets to Michigan's Max Dahlin, who would go on to play in the finals match. Minasyan lost in three sets to Ohio State's Preston Stearns, who also made it all the way to the final match.
In doubles action the partnership of Minasyan and Ferdinand Kloesters was the only Badger duo to make it past the round of 64. Minasyan and Kloesters went 2-1 in the tournament, falling in the round of 16 to Ohio State's duo.
UP NEXT: The Badgers will host the Big Ten Individual Championships at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The tournament will run from Oct. 30 through Nov. 2, with admission free for fans.
