CHICAGO – Led by a member of the 2024 Big Ten All-Freshman team
Christian de Vaal, the No. 7 Wisconsin men's cross country team won the 46th Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Friday morning.
de Vaal finished sixth in his third race of the season, covering the 8K course in 23 minutes, 28.08 seconds, to lead Wisconsin to its second team title of the season. This also marks the second-straight year UW has won the team title at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational.

Archie Noakes and
Johnny Livingstone - all finished within a 15 places of each other, crossing the line in ninth (23:35.87), 15th (23:53.56), 18th (23:58.34) and 23rd (24:02.28), respectively.
Bryce Stachewicz clocked in at 24:17.72, securing 35th place, while
Andrew Casey completed the race in 57th place with a time of 24:45.22, followed by
Nick Gilles who clocked in close behind in 24:46.56.
UW defeated Big Ten rival Washington, ranked No. 24 nationally in the USTFCCCA Coaches' Roll and No. 4 within the conference as well as No. 16 North Carolina. North Carolina placed sixth with 147 points, while Washington finished eighth with 192 points.
Up Next: The Badgers will host the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational presented by Under Armour, on Friday, Oct. 17. 25 of the top-30 teams in the country will be in action in the prestigious competition at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. Action begins at 10:30 a.m.
