The Badgers host Northwestern in a Tuesday night clash
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's soccer team (6-8-0, 3-6-0 Big Ten) will conclude its conference schedule with a match against the Northwestern Wildcats (7-5-3, 2-4-2 Big Ten) on Tuesday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT at McClimon Soccer Complex.
Here are five things to know about the match:
1 – HALLOWEEN MATCH – The Badgers dropped a conference match on the road to No. 12 Michigan last Friday. The Wolverines jumped to an early lead with a goal in the 2nd minute of the contest. Wisconsin was able to get on the board with just over two minutes left in the first half when Markie Hrvojevic showed off his ball placement skills, sneaking the ball past Michigan's keeper. While the teams remained tied for the majority of the second half, Michigan took advantage of a loose rebound in the 82nd minute, securing a 2-1 victory.
2 – MARKIE MAGIC – Junior forward Markie Hrvojevic scored Wisconsin's lone goal against the Wolverines last Friday. The goal marked his third of the season, bringing his point total up to a team-best 10. Hrvojevic has not gone more than two games without recording a point this season, and has scored all three of his goals in October.
3 – CONFERENCE RECAP – Tuesday's match against Northwestern will be Wisconsin's last regular-season conference match. With three Big Ten wins leading up to the match, the Badgers have surpassed last year's conference win total. Wisconsin has earned victories over Ohio State, Michigan State, and Penn State during its 2025 campaign. The last time the Badgers ended the Big Ten season with no draws was in 2018, when they went 6-2-0 in conference action.
4 – WILDCAT WATCH – Wisconsin holds a 31-13-9 edge in the all-time series against Northwestern. The most recent match between the two squads ended in a 0-0 draw. Northwestern is coming off a 2-0 Halloween win over No. 17 Indiana, just its second conference win of the season. The Badgers will look to defend against Joe Suchecki, who leads the Wildcats offensively with 12 points (4 goals, 4 assists). UW will also be tasked with scoring on goalkeeper Rafael Ponce De Leon, who has 44 saves and five shutouts this season.
5 – HOW TO FOLLOW – Tuesday's match will be played at the Badgers' McClimon Soccer Complex with admission free to all. The contest will stream on B1G+, and live stats can be found at uwbadgers.com.
