Badgers close out NCAA Indoor Championships with multiple All-America finishes

Swarens sets school record, Spencer grabs podium finish in the 3000 meters
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Wisconsin track and field team wrapped up an electric weekend at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, bringing home three top-10 finishes and a new school record. 
In the shot put, Jason Swarens delivered a standout performance, finishing third overall with a massive throw of 66 feet, 11 ¼ inches (20.40 meters) to set a new school record and personal best. The Terre Haute, Indiana, native held the previous school record of 66-5 (20.24m).
Joseph White threw an impressive mark, placing seventh with a throw of 63-2 ¾ inches (19.27m). With this finish, White earned his first career Division I first-team All-American honors and his second All-America honor of the weekend, as he was named a second-team All-American in the weight throw on Friday.
On the track, Adam Spencer capped off the weekend with a strong showing in the 3000 meters, racing to a third-place finish in 7 minutes, 52.71 seconds, adding another podium placement for the Badgers. This marks the Melbourne, Australia, native's second All-America honor of the weekend.
