FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Dominik Mark-Torok highlighted day three at the NCAA Champinships for the Wisconsin men's swim team with a school record and All-American honor in the 400 IM.
The Hungarian native was seeded 16th, going into prelims in the 400 IM. Mark-Torok dropped three seconds in prelims with a time of 3:37.88, leading him to a new school record and a fourth-place finish to land him in the A-final on Friday night. In the championship heat, Mark-Torok finished fifth and broke his own record with a time of 3:37.50.
Chris Morris finished 27th in the 200 freestyle. Those were the Badgers only events on the day.
The meet wraps up on Saturday with prelims beginning at 12 p.m. (CST) and finals at 8 p.m. (CST). The events include 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 fly and the 400 freestyle relay.
