MIAMI – The Wisconsin track and field team concluded its weekend with a pair of wins and multiple top-5 finishes at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, hosted by the University of Miami.
Giovanni Wearing led the way for the Badgers, winning the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.67 seconds. The Ashburn, Virginia native went on to compete in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing sixth with a time of 56.87.
Emma Kelley was the standout on the women's side, as the transfer secured her second win in as many weeks. Kelley took first in the 1500 meters by nearly 20 seconds, turning in a time of 4:23.50.
In the men's 400 meters, senior
Elliott Harris claimed a strong fourth place, crossing the line at 47.45.
2025 First-Team All-American
Jalen Williams fought through the men's 200 meters, securing third place with a time of 21.02, while freshman
Landon Gallun followed in 11th place clocking 21.76. The Whitefish Bay native also competed in the 100 meters, finishing seventh with a time of 10.79 seconds.
Karina Janik wrapped up the Badgers' showing with a third-place finish in the women's 400-meter hurdles, covering the distance in 1:02.02.
