MADISON, Wis. – Five members of the Wisconsin women's hockey team will join four former Badger alums on the USA Hockey roster for the 2025 International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship, April 9-20, 2025 in České Budějovice, Czechia.
Current Badgers Lacey Eden, Laila Edwards, Caroline Harvey, Ava McNaughton and Kirsten Simms will join UW legends Jesse Compher, Britta Curl-Salemme, Hilary Knight and Anna Wilgren on the 25-player roster.
McNaughton will make her senior team debut for Team USA. The netminder has appeared for the U.S. at several under-18 and under-22 events. Eden, Edwards, Harvey and Simms were a part of the U.S. squad that earned silver at last year's women's world championships.
Knight will make her 15th appearance at the IIHF Women's World Championship. The Wisconsin Hall of Famer owns nine gold medals and five silver medals during her career with the U.S.
Wisconsin is the most represented school on the U.S. roster with its nine players.
