Box Score MADISON Wis. - No. 25 women's tennis got back on track Friday evening, defeating the Purdue Boilermakers 4–2. The team is now 7-0 at home.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Boilermakers grabbed early momentum with close wins on courts 2 and 3 to claim the doubles point. But the Badgers responded in singles, led by freshman Ekaterina Ivanova's dominant 6–2, 6–1 win. Maria Sholokhova followed with a straight-set win, and Ariel Johnson secured a gritty 7–5, 7–6 victory to give Wisconsin the lead.
Taylor Cataldi sealed the match with a three-set comeback, winning 5–7, 6–4, 6–0 after a clutch pep talk from assistant coach Marek Michalicka.
