MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin volleyball team will conclude its 2025 spring season with another in-state match up, as it hosts Green Bay on Tuesday, April 22 at 6 p.m.

Before the match begins, here are six things to know:

1. LAST TIME OUT: The Badgers returned to the Field House for the first time this spring, taking down Marquette 25-13, 25-19, 25-21. Wisconsin tallied 45 kills, as Mimi Colyer finished with 14 and newcomer Madison Quest added 12, while Una Vajagic chipped in with eight kills. Charlie Fuerbringer was one dig away from a double-double, with nine digs and 35 assists. Maile Chan got the nod for starting libero and registered 10 digs.

2. COLYER HAS A CANNON: It wasn't her first match in the Field House, but her first match in the Field House wearing red and white. Mimi Colyer, receiving loud cheers from the Badger fans during player introductions, put down a match-high 14 kills against the Golden Eagles. She has tallied 46 kills this spring.

3. ON A QUESTIn her first three matches with the Badgers, Madison Quest has tallied 24 kills, and hit .400 in the most recent match against Marquette. The outside hitter was ranked the No. 1 player in Wisconsin by PrepDig.com and was a finalist for the Class of 2025 Player of the Year.

4. MORE TO COME:
Freshman Addy Horner and Madison Quest joined the Badger squad this spring, upon graduating from high school early. Aniya Warren, Kristen Simon and Natalie Wardlow will join the team this summer. Warren comes in as the No. 1 ranked libero of the 2025 class in the nation (PrepDig).

5. OPENING SPIKE CLASSIC: The Badgers will kick off the 2025 season with the Opening Spike Classic over Labor Day Weekend with the event taking place at the Badgers' Kohl Center. The four-team invite will feature four of the nation's top collegiate programs in Creighton, Kansas, Texas and Wisconsin.

6. SCOUTING THE PHOENIX: Green Bay finished 16-17 overall and 11-7 in the Horizon League in the 2024 season. They fell 3-2 in the Horizon League Championship to Cleveland State. The Phoenix are led by outside hitter Katie Schulz, who averaged 3.28 kills per set last season. Their head coach, Abbey Sutherland, has been at the helm since 2018 with a record of 115-92.
