MADISON, Wis. – Four Wisconsin women's tennis athletes earned Big Ten postseason honors, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Maria Sholokhova was named to the All-Big Ten First Team following a standout junior season. She was consistently ranked in the top 10 of the ITA singles polls, finishing with a 17-2 overall record and a 9-1 mark in Big Ten play. In doubles, she went 11-3 overall and remained undefeated in conference matches (6-0) alongside partner
Ariel Johnson.
Taylor Cataldi earned a spot on the All-Big Ten Second Team. Playing primarily at No. 2 singles, Cataldi compiled a 13-2 overall record, including 5-1 in Big Ten play. On the doubles court, she notched seven wins, three of which came in conference matches.
Ekaterina Ivanova, a freshman, made an immediate impact in her debut season. Competing mainly at the No. 3 singles position, she posted a 9-6 overall record and went 6-3 in conference play. When moved up to No. 2 for two matches, she remained undefeated. In doubles, Ivanova added a 9-7 record, including three conference victories.
Ellison Reynoldson received the team's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. She recorded a 5-4 singles record at the No. 4 spot, frequently clinching key matches for the Badgers. In doubles, she contributed eight wins.
