MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men's track and field team wrapped up a four-day competition weekend with action at the 129th Penn Relays and the Illinois Twilight.
At the historic Penn Relays, the Badgers' 4xMile relay team of
Bryce Stachewicz,
Liam Newhart,
Matan Ivri and
Bob Liking finished ninth overall with a time of 16 minutes, 37.65 seconds. In the 110-meter hurdles finals, Gio Wearing also placed ninth, crossing the finish line in 22.76 seconds.
Meanwhile, at the Illinois Twilight, JJ Williams placed third with a personal best time of 1:51.75. In field events,
Quinn Lansill recorded a personal best throw of 166-9 (50.84) in the javelin to finish sixth. The senior also competed in the discus, where his throw of 122-10 (37.44m) ranked 14th.
Up Next: Wisconsin will host its lone outdoor meet of the season, the Badger Challenge, on Friday at the McClimon Track Complex. Field events will begin at 1 p.m. while track events will start at 3:15 p.m. Admission is free. UW will also honor its senior class during the competition.
