No. 19 Wisconsin falls to UCLA

Badgers have program record win streak snapped

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The No. 19 Wisconsin Badgers saw their 13-match winning streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon, falling to No. 24 UCLA in a tightly contested battle between ranked opponents.

The loss marks Wisconsin's first defeat in over two months, snapping a program-record win streak that showcased the team's consistency and depth throughout the season.

How it happened:
The Badgers got off to a slow start, dropping the doubles point to the Bruins. Head coach Kelcy McKenna experimented with new pairings in hopes of sparking a different dynamic, but the strategy fell short. Ekaterina Ivanova and Ellison Reynoldson teamed up for the first time this season but were unable to overcome the nation's No. 3 ranked doubles duo. Meanwhile, Taylor Cataldi and Tianna Rangan also dropped their match, handing UCLA the early lead.

Wisconsin bounced back with a strong showing in singles, rattling off three straight wins from Reynoldson, Cataldi, and Ariel Johnson to take a 3-1 lead. However, the Bruins responded with resilience, securing victories in the final three singles matches to complete the comeback and clinch the match.
