Badger pair recognized after 2-1 upset over No. 8 Penn State

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin women's soccer goalkeeper Drew Stover and defender Ella Ottey have earned Big Ten weekly honors following the Badgers' hard-fought 2-1 win over No. 8 Penn State this past Sunday.

Stover earned her first Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week honor after producing a season-high performance in net. She recorded six saves, including a penalty-kick stop, to preserve the Badgers' 2-1 lead. Stover has started every match this season and leads the Big Ten with 900 minutes played. She has also collected 25 saves and boasts a .806 save percentage.

Ottey played a key role on both defense and offense in the upset, recording assists on both of Wisconsin's goals while logging the full 90 minutes. She currently leads the Badgers with five assists this season. This marks her second career Big Ten weekly honor after being named Freshman of the Week in 2023.

Wisconsin will look to carry the momentum into its next game on Thursday, Sept. 25, when the Badgers host No. 8 Iowa. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
