TULSA, Okla. - The Wisconsin men's tennis team sent three players to the 2025 ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Sophomores Edouard Aubert and Patrik Meszaros started match play on Saturday, Sept. 20 in the Pre-Qualifying Draw. Both Badgers won their first two matches, moving on to the PQ round of 40. Aubert fell to Georgia's Giamichelle in the final pre-qualifying round, but Meszaros beat Arizona's Bastiaansen in a thrilling three set match to earn a spot in the Qualifying Draw.
The Qualifying Draw began on Monday, Sept. 22 for both Meszaros and Senior Michael Minasyan. Meszaros drew Stanford's Nicholas Godsick, who was ranked No. 86 in the ITA Preseason Rankings, for the Qualifying round of 64. He won the first set 6-4, before dropping the next two 6-7 (4-7), 4-6. Meszaros completed his time at the ITA All-American Championships with a consolation match win against Mississippi State's Hernandez Cortes. He will start the fall with a 4-1 record.
Minasyan fell in the first round of the Qualifying Draw to Tulsa's Volonski in straight sets. Minasyan also participated in a consolation match against Texas's Burnett.
UP NEXT: Three Badgers will head to Milwaukee for the 49th annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic, starting Thursday, Sept. 25. Juniors Collin Beduhn, Matthew Fullerton, and Tomas Zlatohlavek will each play for the first time this fall.
