Drobac leads the Badgers at home
MADISON, Wis – The Wisconsin women's cross country team finished 33rd at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational presented by Under Armour to finish its regular season on Friday morning at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course.
The Badgers were led by freshman Emmerson Drobac, covering the 6K course in 20:58.0, almost a minute and a half faster than her time at the Badger Classic earlier this season.
In the "B" race, junior Emma Kruse was the first to cross the line for the Badgers, finishing with a time of 22:03.9.

"What a perfect day for a cross country meet. Nuttycombe lived up to being the most premier cross country invite in the country. Thomas Zimmer Championship Course was in great condition!
I'm proud of our women for trusting the mission, they got out where we wanted them to and had some bad luck that pushed our pack back. They handled that well and played the hand to the best of their ability. We will go back to work and be ready for Big Tens in three weeks."
Up Next: UW turns its attention to the postseason as the Badgers prepare to host the Big Ten Championships on Friday, Oct. 30. The women's 6K race is set to start at 10:35 a.m. CT with the men's 8K to follow at 11:35 a.m. CT.
