Badgers come up short at the UW Field House
MADISON, Wis. - No. 15 Wisconsin wrestling suffered a 30-9 loss to No. 22 Indiana on Saturday afternoon at the UW Field House. The Badgers were able to add points late in the dual, but Indiana built an early lead that proved too much to overcome.
Wisconsin got off to a slow start in the lower weights, with the opening four matches ending in decisions. Indiana's Bryce Lowery added bonus points early, pinning No. 25 Luke Mechler in under two minutes.
Following the intermission, Indiana extended its lead in the middle weights with two bonus-point wins and a decision to seal the dual. Wisconsin responded in the closing bouts, highlighted by Wyatt Ingham, who battled through extended blood time before forcing overtime.
