Badgers will honor seniors in final home dual
MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin wrestling returns to the UW Field House this weekend to host No. 10 Michigan on Sunday, Feb. 15, with the dual streaming on B1G+. The matchup marks Senior Day in Madison, as the Badgers honor five seniors in their final home appearance of the season.Â
1. The Last Time OutÂ
Wisconsin suffered a tough 30-9 loss to Indiana at the UW Field House on Saturday. The Badgers struggled to find their footing early, but did get strong efforts later in the lineup. Wyatt Ingham battled through extended blood time before securing an overtime takedown to get Wisconsin on the board, and Braxton Amos added six points with a fall to cap the dual.
2. Scouting the WolverinesÂ
Michigan enters the matchup with an 8-4 record after back-to-back losses to No. 1 Penn State and No. 2 Ohio State. Last weekend against the Nittany Lions, Taye Ghadiali picked up a 5-1 decision over No. 12 Cole Mirasola at heavyweight, sealing the bout with a late single-leg takedown. Michigan holds a 30-25-1 edge in the all-time series, with its most recent win over Wisconsin coming in 2023. With both teams coming off losses, each side will look to respond as the season continues.
