Badgers earn three all-time marks in Long Beach

Three all-time marks and two top-15 discus finishes highlight Wisconsin’s day at the Pacific Coast Invite.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Wisconsin women's track and field team opened its weekend in California with several strong performances at the Pacific Coast Invite on Thursday, highlighted by three new additions to the UW all‑time outdoor lists and top‑15 finishes in the discus.
Freshman Luciana Aizpurua led the Badgers in the sprints, placing 10th in the 100 meters in 11.60 seconds, a time that moves her to No. 4 in program history.
In the 200 meters, Sydney Robinson added another all‑time mark for Wisconsin, running 24.16 to finish 26th and climb to No. 9 on the UW list.
Wisconsin also made history in the 4x100‑meter relay, as Aizpurua, Catalina Sanchious, Rachel Robinson and Sydney Robinson combined for a season‑best 45.61, placing sixth and moving to No. 4 in school history.
Nicole Repka finished 18th in the 400 meters in 55.99.
In the throws, graduate student Danni Langseth led the Badgers in the shot put, finishing second with a throw of 55‑5½ (16.90m). Hadley Lucas placed fourth at 53‑0 ¼ (16.16m), a personal-best for her and the No. 8 mark in school history, and Zonica Lindeque finished seventh with 51‑7¼ (15.72m).
Wisconsin added four top‑20 finishes in the discus, led by Zonica Lindeque, who placed 11th with a throw of 173‑5 (52.86m). Taylor Kesner followed in 14th at 170‑11 (52.11m), Hadley Lucas finished 15th with a mark of 169‑0 (51.52m), and Vasiliki Samolada took 20th at 163‑7 (49.86m). Samolada's performance also secured her qualification for the 2026 U20 Championships qualifier.
In the hammer throw, Morgan Flaska recorded a mark of 178‑5 (54.50m) for 20th, while Nora Skoraczewski placed 33rd with 166‑9 (50.83m).
Up Next: The Badgers continue their California slate at the Beach Invite in Long Beach and the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa on Friday.
