April 29, 2026 | Women's Rowing
Wisconsin to face Minnesota, Kansas and Iowa in St. Paul
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's rowing team is preparing for its final regatta of the regular season, the Twin Cities 2K, set to take place on Lake Phalen in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Saturday, May 2.
Before they hit the water, here are f(oar) things to know:
1 - TWIN CITIES 2K: Get ready for a day of speed and shoreline energy hosted by the University of Minnesota. The Golden Gophers will race head-to-head over the 2,000-meter course against Iowa, Kansas, and Wisconsin in Minnesota's first home regatta since 2016.

2 - SPECTATOR INFORMATION: Fans can enjoy free viewing areas at the Phalen Lake Side Activity Center with multiple other viewing points along the lake path and bike trails.
Spectators will not be allowed to enter the beachfront area. Only athletes, coaches and staff members will be permitted in the boat staging area and launch site. There will be fencing up around the beach area, but Minnesota requests that all spectators keep their distance from team trailers and tents if they fall outside of the fenced areas.
Spectators can view from multiple points along the lake path and bike trail. Please use caution when crossing any bike paths. UMN is recommending spectators watch near the 1000m mark by the Phalen Lake Side Activity Center.

On day one, the top finishers for Wisconsin were its varsity four, second varsity four and third varsity eight/novice eight boats, who all came in third place in their respective morning races. The third varsity four also came in third place in its afternoon race.
On day two, the second varsity four led the way for the Badgers, finishing in first place in its only race of the day, slightly less than a second ahead of Iowa in second place. The varsity four and second varsity eight also raced well, finishing in second place in their respective Sunday races.
