Softball signs grad-transfer from Butler
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin softball signs graduate transfer, Hailey Conger, to the 2026-27 roster, head coach Yvette Healy announces. Hailey, older sister of current Badger Hannah Conger, comes to Wisconsin after spending four seasons at Butler.
Conger started in every game the last three seasons, but did not play her freshman season due to injury. She is coming off a stand-out senior year after earning First Team All-Big East honors and NFCA All-Region Second Team honors. The 5-foot-8 outfielder also broke Bulter's single-season record for the most runs scored with 55.
"Hailey Conger is a huge addition to Wisconsin Softball," said head coach Yvette Healy. "She's a Badger through and through with family Wisconsin roots, and is one of the best on-base percentage and run scoring kids in the country."
This season, she slashed a .410 batting average, .547 slugging percentage, and .536 on-baes percentage in her last season as a Bulldog. She ranked 25th nationally with 1.20 runs scored per game, led the team with 37 walks and added 42 RBI. She is a career .327 hitter in 142 total games, with 24 doubles, four triples, three home runs, and 79 RBI.
Why Wisconsin
"Growing up a Badger fan and returning to Wisconsin for my final year of eligibility is a dream come true. The combination of strong academics and amazing athletic traditions is what drew me back to Madison. Both my parents attended and my sister currently attends Wisconsin, so the opportunity to finish my softball career here feels especially meaningful. The coaching staff has been incredibly supportive of my academic and athletic goals throughout this process, and I couldn't be more grateful and excited to represent the Badgers in and off the field." – Hailey Conger
