Courthiau earns spot on Belgium’s World Cup Team

New Badger set to represent Belgium at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin women's basketball guard Alicia Courthiau has been selected to represent Belgium at the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.

Courthiau helped Belgium secure its spot in the World Cup after averaging 7.0 points during the team's qualifying run. The international experience adds another major accomplishment to the young guard's career as she prepares for her first season with the Badgers.

The 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup will take place Sept. 4-13 in Berlin, Germany, with Courthiau and Belgium set to compete against the world's top national teams.
