UW women’s golf presents home tournament at University Ridge
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's golf team will host the Badger invitational at University Ridge Golf Course on Sunday through Tuesday, Sept. 13-15.Â

Last Time Out: Â The Badgers kicked off their fall season at the Cougar Classic in Hanahan, South Carolina. After three rounds of play, UW found a 15th-place finish, garnering a 24-over par (291-292-293=876). Sophomore Grace Slocum had a notable trip down south, earning a top-ten finish at three-under. Slocum solidified her name in the record book, tying the program's best 36-hole score with a 137.Â

 The Course: The beautiful University Ridge is home to our Wisconsin Badgers golf teams. Opening in 1991, the 18-hole course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The 6,032-yard course is a par-72 and a treasure to Madison residents.

The Tournament:  The Badger Invitational is UW's only home tournament of the season. Wisconsin will tee off alongside Iowa and Michigan from 9:50-10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Monday tee times will be dependent on Sunday's results. The final day of the tournament, on Tuesday, will have a shotgun start of 9:00 a.m.Â

The Field:Â This year's Badger Invitational competitors consist of Boise State, Bradley, Colorado State, Delaware, FIU, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, New Mexico State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Sam Houston, Washington State, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin.
In the lineup for the Badgers are Grace Slocum, Tammy Wu, Kate Brody, Izzi Stricker and Jillian Bowman.
Individually competing for UW are Cara Carter, Elyssa Abdullah, Hadley Ashton and Lauren Sammon.  -
