MADISON, Wis. — The No. 6 Wisconsin volleyball team (8-4, 2-0) prepares to take on a pair of ranked conference opponents, welcoming No. 15 Indiana (9-2, 2-0) to the UW Field House on Oct. 1 before hitting the road for a matchup against No. 20 Minnesota (6-4, 0-2) on Oct. 4.
The Badgers will welcome the Hoosiers to the UW Field House for an 8 p.m. matchup on Thursday, celebrating Power of Us Women Leaders night. Wisconsin will wrap up the weekend with a 5 p.m. Sunday meeting with the Gophers. Fans looking to purchase tickets to Thursday's match can do so here.
The Hoosiers recently defeated Maryland in straight sets and will enter the Field House undefeated in conference play. The Badgers hold a 32-9 edge over the Hoosiers in Madison, and will look to extend their 19-match win-streak against the conference foe.
After the Thursday night battle, Wisconsin will hit the road to face the Gophers for the 96th time in program history, where Minnesota holds a home-court 32-14 edge.
UW is fresh off its opening weekend of Big Ten play, defeating No. 20 Oregon and No. 10 Purdue to grab a 2-0 start to its conference slate.
Wisconsin mounted a three-set comeback against Oregon at the Field House after dropping the first set, 26-24. The Badgers posted their highest hitting percentage of the season against the Ducks, posting a .382 (60 - 10 - 131) performance and a .625 percentage in the fourth frame alone. Freshman Audrey Flanagan led the way with a career-high 19 kills.
The Badgers took on their first road conference test against Purdue on Sunday, using a balanced attack to power past the Boilermakers in straight sets. The Badgers forced its opponent into the lowest hitting percentage they've faced thus far at .113 (36 - 23 - 115) and turned in eight blocks.
