Trask on Barlow: "Tom's ability to score goals and be a handful for opposing defenses is why he was so highly sought after. His physical components and athleticism will be difficult for any defender across the country to deal with. I believe Tom's strengths will fit nicely into our offensive scheme and I am really looking forward to working with him over the next few years."
Tiemeyer on Barlow: "Tom's physical abilities, combined with his finishing ability, will allow him to compete right away as a freshman. He comes to UW from an excellent high school program where he was coached by the highly respected Mike Gauvain. Tom made the difficult decision to play his senior year for the US Soccer Academy Program, St. Louis Scott Gallagher, where he was coached by Tim Leonard and Kevin Kalish."
Why Wisconsin? "I chose UW because of its academic reputation, large and amazing campus environment, and its outstanding athletic program. Also, being able to play soccer in the Big Ten at a large university like UW is a dream come true."
