2017: Played in seven games and earned five shots ... got his first career start against in-state rival Milwaukee (10/24)
2016: Did not see game action.
High School: A native of Barcelona, Hernanz attended Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. There, he was coached by Matthew Shea. Hernanz has also played for club teams RCD Espanyol U-9, CE Vilassar and FC Stars of Massachusetts. A team captain for his FC Stars club as a senior, Hernanz led his squad in both goals (13) and assists (8), was named Team MVP, was named to the NEPSSA All-Star Team and was on the Senior NEPSAC All-Star Team. Academically, Hernanz was a high honors student at Cushing Academy.
Head Coach John Trask: "Ale is an attacking player who has special technique and is capable of unlocking defenses with his passing ability. He will be looked at in a number of attacking roles for us and will be counted on to help bolster our offense. We are happy to continue the tradition of having talented Spanish players represent the Badgers."
Associate Head Coach Keith Tiemeyer: "We are looking forward to what Ale will bring to the team, both on and off the field. He has a unique skill set that will help our team in many attacking options. His attacking sense for the game will be a great asset to our program."
