2020-21: Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient...competed in a meet against Minnesota and Purdue and took first place in the 500 free (4:24.64) and placed second in the 1000 free in a time of 9:03.21 (1/23)...swam in a meet against Northwestern and took first in the 500 free setting a pool record at the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center (4:23.70) and also placed first in and set a pool record for the 1000 free in a time of 9:00.38 (2/6)...competed in the Big Ten Championships and placed fourth as a member of the 800 free relay team (6:20.24), qualified for the A final and took third overall in the 500 free (4:16.50), qualified for the B final of the 200 free and placed 13th overall (1:36.07) and placed fourth in the 1650 free with a time of 14:46.76 (3/2-3/6)...qualified and competed in the NCAA Division I Championships and was a member of the 800 free relay team that took 17th (6:19.34), placed 24th overall in the 500 free (4:15.87) and placed 12th overall in the 1650 free with a time of 14:48.17 to become an honorable mention All-American (3/24-3/27)

Previous: 2018 SEC All-Freshman Team ... Competed at the NCAA Championships in the 500 free (4:22.31/45th) and 1650 free (15:07.88/39th) ... 9:05.71 1000 split at the NCAA Championships was the 11th-fastest performance in program history while his overall time was the 16th-fastest performance ... Swimming the mile for the first time as a collegiate athlete, finished eighth at the SEC Championships in 14:52.29, making him the second-fastest performer with the fifth-fastest performance in program history and earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors ... 8:58.96 1000 split was the fourth-fastest performance in program history ... Also swam the 500 free (4:18.22), finishing 13th, and the 200 free (1:38.14).

High School: Graduated from Westville Boys HS ... Swam for Seagulls Swim Club ... Distance free and IM specialist ... Won gold as part of the 4x200m freestyle relay at the 2016 All-Africa CANA Games ... Won bronze in the 800m and 1500m freestyles at the 2016 All-Africa CANA Games ... Took third in the 1500m free at the 2015 South African National Championships ... Swam on the 2015 FINA Junior World Championships South African team ... four-time Team MVP 

Personal: Son of Melanie and Delon ... Has two siblings: Wade and Brogan ... hobbies include surfing and gaming 

Why Wisconsin? I wanted to be a part of something bigger than just myself, I chose Wisconsin for how well the coaches know about their swimmers and care for them, while trying to make each and every one of us better each day. The teams dynamic and goal driven mentality made it and easy pick.
