Everett joined the Badgers to begin 2023 after spending the 2022 season as the senior offensive analyst under offensive coordinator Phil Longo at North Carolina.
Everett worked on opponent breakdowns, scouting reports and all football technology, along with working directly with the Tar Heel quarterbacks. UNC went on to win the ACC Coastal division.
Everett worked as a coach advisor with HigherEchelon, a training and consulation program that works with professional, NCAA and high school teams on their simulation processes. Everett worked on 3d simulation training, tackling analytics and process efficiency.
In the spring of 2019, Everett served as the tight ends coach and assistant to the defensive coordinator with the Memphis Express in the Alliance of American Football. Everett was responsible for weekly redzone and two-point game plans, along with managing scouting reports.
From 2016-2018, Everett was the defensive coordinator at Bridgewater College. In 2018, the unit led the league in total defense, 3rd down efficiency and redzone defense.
Everett coached at the high school level at Westfield HS, Robert E Lee HS and Washington-Lee HS in Northern Virginia from 2002-2016.
At Westfield HS in 2015, Everett served as defensive coordinator for a squad that won the 6A Virginia State Championship. The Westfield defense allowed only 12.6 points per game.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in education with a major in mathematics from the University of Michigan in 2002. Everett lives in Waunakee, Wis. with his wife Lisa and their sons Bo and Joey.
