Ortiz joined the Badgers strength and conditioning staff in January 2023 after stops at Cincinnati, Georgia Southern and Florida over the last five years.
Ortiz worked as an assistant sports performance coach with the Cincinnati football program from 2020 to 2022, helping implement and maintain the comprehensive training program for the football team. Ortiz also spent the spring of 2019 on staff at Cincinnati as an intern, assisting with daily workouts and maintaining the weight room.
Ortiz made stops at Georgia Southern in 2019 and at Florida in 2018, contributing to the strength and conditioning efforts of both football programs.
Ortiz earned his bachelor’s degree at West Liberty University in 2018 and his master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2022.
