2018 Cross Country: Placed 206th overall and seventh for UW at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals meet (10/13) with an 8K time of 26:11.1 ... finished 161st overall and seventh for the Badgers with an 8K time of 24:56.6 at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational (9/28)

2017-18 Season

2018 Outdoor Track: In his outdoor track debut, won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:24.62 at the California Collegiate Open (3/31)

2018 Indoor Track: In his first race of the season, competed unattached in the 3000 meters, crossing the line with a time of 8:29.86 at the Wisconsin Shell Shocker (2/16).

2017 Cross Country: At the NCAA Great Lakes Regional (11/10), finished 32nd overall and fifth for Wisconsin with a 10K time of 31:53.0 ... placed 35th overall and sixth for the Badgers at the Big Ten Championship (10/29) with a time of 25:04.1 (8K) ... placed 188th overall and fourth for Wisconsin at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational (10/13) with a time of 25:20.4 (8K) ... in his UW debut, finished 65th overall and fourth for the Badgers at the Greater Louisville Classic (9/30) with a time of 24:47.59 (8K) ...  

High School

Senior year won the 3200 meters and finished fifth in the 1600 meters at the WIAA Division I State Championship, won the WIAA Division I Cross Country Championship, was runner-up at the Foot Locker National Championships, won the NXR Heartland Regional Championships … as a junior, won the cross country state meet, won the 3200 at the state track meet, finished eighth at the NXN Nike Cross Nationals, placed 11th at Foot Locker Nationals … placed third in the 3200 meters and ninth in the 1600 meters at the state track meet and finished fifth at the state cross country meet as a sophomore … freshman year qualified for the state cross country meet.

Personal

Son of Nathan and Christine Gessner ... has two brothers, Tryg and Erik ... was a ski jumper growing up.
