Appeared in 27 games in his season with the Badgers … named to the Mike Richter Award watch list and the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list … stopped a season-high 41 shots in Wisconsin’s 4-1 win over Merrimack on Oct. 14 … earned the Big Ten First Star of the Week on Oct. 17 for his wins against Merrimack and Boston College … stopped 30 shots in Wisconsin’s 2-2 tie with North Dakota on Nov. 4, then saved both UND shots to help UW win the shootout … made 34 saves in the 7-3 win over Michigan on Nov. 17 … backstopped the Badgers to a 4-2 win at Michigan on Feb. 3, stopping 32 shots … stopped 30-plus shots on seven occasions … signed an Amateur Tryout contract with the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals after the season

2017 AHCA Second-Team All-American … named the ECAC Ken Dryden Goaltender of the Year and the ECAC Hockey Media Association Goalie of the Year … 2017 Hobey Baker nominee … named to the All-ECACHMA team, the 2016-17 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team and the preseason All-ECAC team, appeared in 35 of the team’s 37 games, starting them all … led the conference and ranked eighth in the nation with a .929 save percentage … recorded a 2.28 goals-against average and a conference-leading five shutouts … finished his career at St. Lawrence as the Saints program leader in career shutouts, ranking second in career wins, saves, appearances, goals against, save percentage and minutes played … three-time ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week selection during the regular season … named ECAC Hockey and HCA National Play of the Month for November after helping St. Lawrence to a 5-0-3 record in the month … had a season-high 43 saves in a 6-3 win at Penn State on Oct. 7 … made 29 saves in the Saint’s 4-0 win over Princeton on Nov. 4 … recorded a shutout against Quinnipiac in the first game of the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals on March 10

Named to the Mike Richter Award watch list … named a pre-season All-American … stopped 57 of 61 shots in the weekend split with Miami, Oct. 23-24 ... made a then-season high 38 saves against Penn State on Oct. 30 for his 25th career win … became the first SLU goalie to shut out Clarkson twice in a career with a 32-save night on Nov. 13 and was named the NCAA hockey third star of the week .... was named ECAC Goalie of the Week and American Sports Network Player of the Week after the Princeton-Quinnipiac weekend, Nov. 20-21 ... matched his season best with 41 saves on 42 shots in the win over Vermont on Dec. 12 and had another 41 save night at Clarkson on Jan. 12 ... his 33 save night against Yale was his eighth 30-or-more evening of the season … named ECAC Goaltender of the Week for the third time after the Colgate-Cornell weekend in which he stopped 70 of 73 shots in a pair of wins … had 50 saves in a 3-2, double-overtime win against Clarkson in the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals … named to the 2015-16 ECAC All-Academic team.
2014–15 / Freshman Season (St. Lawrence)
Named the ECAC Rookie of the Year … also named to the All-ECAC second team and the ECAC All-Rookie team … finalist for the Mike Richter Award … finished the season with a 1.95 goals against average and a .937 save percentage, both program records … set the SLU record for shutouts in a season with five ... the ECAC Rookie of the Month for October, November and January, and Goalie of the Month for January … twice named the ECAC Rookie of the Week and ECAC Goalie of the Week ... became the second goalie in program history to shut out Clarkson in Potsdam on Nov. 1 ... allowed two or fewer goals in 12 consecutive games, Jan 9 – Feb. 20 ... had a season high of 51 saves at Miami on Oct. 25.
Before Hayton was a Badger
A member of two National U-18 championship teams and the NARCH Roller Hockey National Championship team … USHL All-Star team member in 2013 when had a 2.29 goals against average and a .932 save percentage for Sioux City … attended Shattuck St. Mary’s and played soccer and lacrosse, earning high academic honors.
