2017–18 / Sophomore Season
Alternate captain ... appeared in 36 games for Wisconsin … led the Badgers with 17 goals and ranked second on the team with 32 points … recorded multiple points on nine occasions this season … tallied points in six-consecutive games from Oct. 13-28, collecting four goals and three assists in the span … had the team’s best faceoff percentage at .529 … named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week on Oct. 3 after he recorded two assists in the 3-2 win over Michigan Tech on Oct. 1 … scored two goals in Wisconsin’s 5-4 overtime loss to northern Michigan on Oct. 20 … scored a goal and a helper in the 7-3 win at Michigan on Nov. 17 … scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win at Minnesota on Dec. 2 … scored a shorthanded goal against Michigan State on Jan. 13, helping UW to a 5-2 win … also scored a shorthanded tally in the Badgers’ 5-0 win over then-No. 1 Notre Dame at the United Center on Jan. 21 … had back-to-back three-point games in the series against Michigan, Feb. 2-3, scoring a goal and two assists in each game … dished out two assists against Michigan on March 2, then scored two goals the following night … missed just one contest while competing for Team USA at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship, scoring four goals in the bronze-medal game and awarded Player of the Game after the win … named to the All-Big Ten Honorable Mention Team … named to the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list … after the season, signed a three-year entry-level professional contract with the Boston Bruins, joining the AHL’s Providence Bruins on an Amateur Tryout Agreement for the rest of the 2017-18 season.

Big Ten All-Freshman team ... named the HCA National Rookie of the Month for February, tallying eight goals and six assists in the month ... scored the fastest goal in program history, finding the back of the net just eight seconds into the game against Michigan on Feb. 18 ... finished fourth among all freshman in points-per-game with 1.18 P/GP ... second in the nation for short-handed points with five ... tallied 15 goals and 18 assists in 30 games played, good enough for the second-highest point total on the team ... recorded his first goal and assist against Northern Michigan on Oct. 8 ... scored one goal and added three assists against Boston College on Oct. 16, earning him Big Ten second star of the week ... potted the game-winning goal and added an assist at St. Lawrence on Oct. 28 ... scored four goals in a weekend series against Michigan at the Kohl Center, earning him Big Ten second star of the week ... had three multi-goal games, scoring twice against Michigan State (Feb. 3) and in back-to-back games against Michigan (Feb. 17-18) ... posted an eight-game scoring streak that spanned from Feb. 3 - Feb. 25 ... earned team’s Spike Carlson-Chris Chelios Most Valuable Player accolade

Played last two seasons for the 2015-16 for the U.S. National Team Development Program (USNTDP) … played in 60 games during the 2015-16 season for the USNTDP under-18 team, registering 40 points on 20 goals and 20 assists … in 55 games for the U.S. Under-17 team in 2014-15, put up 14 points on five goals and nine assists … skated for Team USA at the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Under-18 World Championship in Grand Forks, North Dakota … scored four goals and seven points in seven games to help the team to bronze … potted a hat trick and added an assist to help Team USA to a 12-1 win over Latvia during the tournament … played four games for Team USA at the 2015 U-18 Five Nations Tournament in November, scoring the game-winner against Sweden in the second game of the tournament on the way to a gold medal for Team USA … played for the United States at the 2014 U-17 World Hockey Challenge, scoring one goal in six games … prior to his time with the USNTDP, Frederic skated for the St. Louis Jr. Blues U16 Team, leading the squad in scoring with 11 goals and 30 points.
