Reason for choosing UW-Madison: I came here to row for a culture that was going to support and challenge me in the right ways. I didn’t want the old school pretentious white-collar rowing experience. I wanted to row with farm boys who knew nothing about the sport and liked to race. I’m proud to say that’s what I’m doing.
What Wisconsin Rowing means to Galen: It means everything to me, and is perhaps the greatest challenge I have ever faced. I feel incredibly proud to be part of such a competitive team that thrives on a culture of respect, trust, and racing spirit. I’m very excited to see what we’re going to do next.
