2015-16 (Freshman): Rowed with the freshmen eight two times, placing first at Head of the Eagle in October from seven seat, while sitting bow in the boat that finished first against Minnesota and MSOE in April... finished third at the Devil's Lake Dual with the second freshmen eight... rowed with the freshmen four that placed second at Head of the Eagle and first against Minnesota and MSOE.

Personal: Mom is Maggie Thickens … two sisters named Anna and Kate … intended major is mechanical engineering.

High School: Graduated from Marshall School in Duluth, Minnesota … six-year letter winner in skiing and was a four-time state individual qualifier … participated in club rowing.

Reasons for choosing UW-Madison: "UW-Madison provided an opportunity for me to take my athletic and academic careers to a level totally unrivaled by any other school."

What Wisconsin rowing means to you: "It’s an opportunity to push myself to my limit in a totally new way, as well as the potential to compete at the highest level in college athletics, something I couldn’t access in any other sport."
