Awards: Academic All-Big Ten (2018, 2019)
2018-19: Rowed seven seat and took fourth place in lightweight eight at IRA National Championships (June 2)…rowed seven seat and took fourth place in lightweight eight at Eastern Sprints (May 5)…rowed three seat and took fifth place in lightweight eight at Knecht Cup, and rowed three seat and took fifth place in the open eight petite final at the Knecht Cup (April 14)…rowed five seat and took first place in open eight petite final at San Diego Crew Classic (April 7)…rowed three seat and took first place in open four at Head of the Hooch, and rowed seven seat and took second place in open eight at Head of the Hooch (Nov. 4)…rowed one seat and took third place in open four at Milwaukee River Challenge (Sept. 15)
2017-18: Sat bow in the lightweight eight at the IRA National Championship and earned seventh place (June 3) ... took third at Eastern Sprints, sitting bow (April 29) ... 2016-17: Rowed to first place at the Knecht Cup with the novice eight (April 9) … raced in the seven seat with the third lightweight eight that placed second at the Eastern Sprints (April 30) … raced with the novice lightweight eight in three races at Grand Valley State University, placing second in all three (April 23) … raced five seat in the novice collegiate eight that placed second at Head of the Rock (Oct. 9)
High School: Competed in swimming, earning four varsity letters … recipient of the 2015 student-athlete award with honors … nominated 2015 co-captain … also competed in club swim for 12 years … earned four varsity letters in track and field
Personal: Parents are Mary and Warren Illgen … has two sisters, Theresa and Angela … sisters swam while at Carroll University and New Mexico State University, respectively … intended major is animal science

What Wisconsin rowing means to you: “Being a part of lightweight rowing makes a large campus seem smaller. It allows me to push my limits while striving to be a better athlete and person.”
