After a season-ending knee injury robbed Kobe King from a majority his true freshman season, the La Crosse, Wisconsin native bounced back in 2018-19. King appeared in all 34 games and made his first career start in his redshirt freshman season with the Badgers, averaging 4.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 19 minutes per game. A highly-touted recruit from La Crosse Central, King had a senior season to remember, being named Wisconsin’s Mr. Basketball, Gatorade Player of the Year, and a unanimous selection for Associated Press Player of the Year after leading the Red Raiders to their first state championship since 1925. An explosive scorer at the basket with shooting range to match, the shooting guard is expected to be one of UW’s main contributors this season.
