Colin McMullen

Colin McMullen began cheering as a sophomore at Sun Prairie (Wisconsin) High School. Growing up as a gymnast he quickly transitioned into cheerleading in high school and fell in love with the sport almost immediately.

Following high school, McMullen traveled to Great Bend, Kansas to attend Barton County Community College on a scholarship. Unfortunately a serious back injury kept him from participating and forced him to return home. Once home he quickly began coaching both his former high school team and a local all-star program. Over the next few years of coaching, McMullen successfully helped lead his alma mater to two Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) High School Nationals Championship first-place finishes, along with several top-three finishes. He also successfully helped lead Cheer Wisconsin, an all-star gym, to a few Jamfest national titles, as well as a U.S. Finals win.

When the opportunity to take his coaching to the next level arose, McMullen could not pass up the opportunity to become a Badger and join the coaching staff at the University of Wisconsin.
