Estella Moschkau

Estella Moschkau was named Director of Recruiting by Head Coach Marisa Moseley in June 2022. A former Badger standout, Moschkau joined the Wisconsin staff in 2021 as the team's graduate assistant.
 
In her new role as director of recruiting, Moschkau will direct recruiting oversight, on-campus visits, creation of all creative content, recruit management, while also assisting Coach Moseley and the coaching staff in other program operations,

“Estella Moschkau was such a positive contributor and influence on our staff and team this season in year one that we are thrilled that she is now our Director of Recruiting,” said Moseley. “Estella’s dedication to the details and continuous drive to learn and grow in conjunction with her experience as a student-athlete at the Division I level make her uniquely qualified for this role. She understands what a prospective student-athlete is looking for and how to communicate this. As a native Madisonian, she has been a leader on our staff in illustrating why Wisconsin is such a special place and showcasing all the opportunities available.”

Moschkau competed with the Badgers during the 2020-21 season, starting all 24 games. Moschkau received UW's Big Ten Sportsmanship award.

Moschkau spent the first three years of her college career at Stanford, where she played in 78 games. She was named to the 2020 and 2019 Pac-12 Academic honor roll as well as being a member of the 2019 Pac-12 Tournament Championship team. Moschkau also represented Stanford at the 2019 USA Basketball Women's 3x3 National Championship in Las Vegas in May 2019, advancing to the quarterfinals.

“I am beyond excited to continue to work with outstanding people and in a place, I know so well at Wisconsin as the Director of Recruiting,” said Moschkau. “Coach Moseley has made monumental improvements to our program during her first season, and I am thrilled to help bring the best talent to Madison.”

A native of Madison, Moschkau ranked 41st nationally and was a five-star recruit by ESPN Hoop Gurlz. She was named the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year and the Wisconsin co-Miss Basketball. She competed nationally with Wisconsin Elite coached by Bob Johnson and North Tartan EYBL coached by Bill Larson and Gerard Coury.

She graduated from Stanford in 2020 with a degree in political science and graduated from Wisconsin in 2022 with a master's degree in educational leadership and policy analysis.
