2020-21 A member of the 2021 National Championship team, she saw action in one game against St. Cloud State... averaged a 1.00 save percentage with seven saves
2019-20: Despite a playoff schedule that ended early before the Badgers’ 2020 NCAA quarterfinal game against Clarkson, Blesi appeared in five games this season helping UW to a WCHA regular season title … earned her first collegiate win in UW’s 12-0 victory over LIU stopping two shots in 40 min of action (Oct. 19) … earned her first career shutout in UW’s 5-0 win over St. Cloud State (Feb. 1) with 13 saves and completed her weekend sweep in UW’s home-record 11-1 win over St. Cloud State (Feb. 2) with 15 saves … she earned her first ever league honors as WCHA Goaltender of the Week Feb. 4 for her performance as the only goalie in the WCHA to post two wins that weekend … helped UW to a 5-1 win over Minnesota State Feb. 7 with 13 saves but suffered her first career loss 1-3 Feb. 8 holding eight saves … totaled a career high 49 saves in five games with a .907 save-percentage
2018-19: A member of the 2019 National Championship team, Blesi made her collegiate debut against Lindenwood on Sept. 29. The Maple Grove, Minnesota native also appeared in a 9-1 victory over Syracuse on Dec. 2.
2017-18: Did not see game action
Prep: Played for Maple Grove Senior High School … recorded five shutouts in each of her final three seasons … received the Senior Goalie of the Year award … named to the All-State Class AA Team as a junior and senior, earning honorable mention as a sophomore … as a junior, named to the All-State Tournament team as her team finished second at the Minnesota state championships … as a sophomore, recorded the best save percentage in the state (.947) … attended the USA Women’s National Goalie Development Camp in 2015 and 2016 … USA U-18 Select 66 Camps attendee in 2015 and 2016 … also excelled in the classroom, achieving a 4.0 GPA
Personal: Parents are Jeff and Judy Blesi … has an older brother, Austin (19), and younger sister, Chloe (8) … started playing hockey at eight years old … also played lacrosse … has a pug named Doug … volunteer coach for the OMGHA youth hockey association... major is undeclared
Why Wisconsin?
“My favorite thing (besides the hockey) is definitely the way people respect athletics. All my life I have grown up in a town that sort of values sports, but not to the extent that the people of Madison do. I am so excited to be a part of that.”
