Reason for choosing UW-Madison: "I visited Wisconsin at the end of a long series of college visits and was not sure what to expect. Wow, was I surprised by the caliber of the education, the amazing coaching staff, welcoming teammates, the strong support system for athletes, good equipment and a coxswain friendly body of water. I loved the campus vibe, the dorms, the little big city feel and the Midwest people in general. I felt like this was a place where I could really have an impact on the team's success. Wisconsin has produced olympians and scholars and I wasnted to follow that model. Once I visited there was no doubt where I belonged."
What Wisconsin Rowing means to you: " Wisconsin Rowing can be delineated as a group of intelligent, motivated and fearless women and men that get up before dawn and go to bed before dusk in order to push a runner ball across a journey of two thousand meters first. It is comprised of the top athletes in the university that come from all over the country and vary in all ages. Without Wisconsin Rowing I wouldn't be who I am today. It has challenged me, pushed me to my max and comforted me when I needed to confide in something. It has stabilized my transition into college and given me a peak into a possible path for the future. It means everything to me and I will never let the joy I have be taken away."
