Jeff Zuhlke is entering his fourth year as Associate Director of Olympic Strength & Conditioning at the University of Wisconsin, and his 11th year overall as a dedicated member of the UW Strength & Conditioning Staff. In addition to his administrative duties, Zuhlke is the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for men's soccer, men’s and women’s track and field and cross country as well as softball. Prior to being elevated to his current role, he served in various positions within the Strength and Conditioning Department including five years as an Assistant Strength Coach with Football, and extensive experience as the Head Strength Coach with volleyball, tennis, track and Field and cross Country.
Zuhlke has been integral in the development of several Olympians and many athletes who have reached the highest levels of professional sports. Many of whom he continues to work with today.
His vast training experience has allowed Zuhlke to develop an approach that highlights specific sport and individual training in conjunction with the developmental skills and qualities exhibited by all elite teams and athletes regardless of sport or event. Zuhlke is passionate about development of character, psyche, leadership and team chemistry.
Prior to landing at the University of Wisconsin, Zuhlke made internship stops with the Toronto Blue Jays and with the University of Texas football program. He graduated with a B.S. in Exercise & Sport Science from The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where he played Strong Safety on the Football field. Zuhlke is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association and is an Approved Mentor by the organization for the certification process.
A passionate outdoorsman, Jeff can be found in the woods, on the water, or in the field behind his Labrador Sammy when he is not coaching.
