A former All-American singles player at LSU, Megan Falcon begins her second season on the Wisconsin women's tennis coaching staff in 2017-18. Falcon comes to Wisconsin after coaching stints at the University of Houston and Gonzaga.

"I am thrilled to be a part of the Wisconsin athletic department," Falcon said. "I would like to thank everyone involved in the hiring process for the opportunity to join the Badger family. I look forward to helping the women’s tennis program reach new heights in the coming years and firmly believe in the direction and vision Kelcy has for the program. Wisconsin is one of the most renowned athletic and academic universities in the country and I can't wait to get started."

She was an exceptional player, garnering All-American status and a WTA ranking. We are excited for her arrival in Madison and are eager for her upcoming season with the Badgers.”

Following a decorated playing career, Falcon has spent the last five seasons coaching, most recently serving as an assistant coach at Gonzaga during the 2015-16 season. Under her tutelage, the Bulldogs set a program record with 16 wins and placed second in the West Coast Conference, the team’s highest-ever finish.

Falcon held a volunteer assistant coaching position for one season at Houston where she helped the Cougars reach the 2015 NCAA Tournament and attain the highest national ranking in program history (28th). Falcon began her coaching career as the Director of Junior Tennis at the Bocage Racquet Club in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  

A native of Alameda, California, Falcon finished her collegiate career as one of the top players in LSU women’s tennis history. A three-time all-American in singles, Falcon reached No. 1 in the nation in singles and the No. 10 ranking in doubles. The 2007 SEC Player of the Year, Falcon was voted one of the 30 greatest LSU Tiger student-athletes of the decade after participating in the 2007 Pan American Games and being named finalist for the 2007 Honda National Player of the Year Award.

Falcon also spent two seasons on the professional circuit, attaining a WTA Ranking of 331 in singles and 413 in doubles. An ITA Scholar-Athlete, Falcon received her bachelor of arts in history and international studies from LSU in 2009.
