Bethany Pendleton finished first in two individual events and swam on a winning relay squad to help lead the Wisconsin women's swimming and diving team to an impressive season-opening performance Friday afternoon. The Badgers finished first in all 13 events in the Wisconsin Invitational held at the UW Natatorium.
UW-Stevens Point, UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee also competed in the invite. No team scores were kept at the event.

She went on to cruise to victory in the 500 freestyle by over 14 seconds (4:54.84).
