
Wisconsin wraps up day two at NCAA Championships

Badgers earn an All-American Honorable Mention in the 200 free relay
ATLANTA — The No. 15 Wisconsin women's swim team finished the second day of competition at the NCAA Championships, competing in four events on the day.
In the 200 free relay, the Wisconsin relay crew of Hailey Tierney, Abby Wanezek, Maggie Wanezek and Blair Stoneburg put together a strong showing to earn an All-American Honorable Mention. The Badgers collected a 15th-place finish with a time of 1:28.42.
Earlier in the day, sophomore Maggie Wanezek put up a strong finish in the 200 free, earning an 18th-place finish in 1:43.60. Stoneburg and Abby Wanezek also competed in the event, checking in at 1:45.27 and 1:46.22, respectively.
Freshman Brooke Corrigan held strong in the 100 breast, touching the wall in 59.38 for a 23rd-place finish. In the 400 IM, Stella Chapman earned a 29th-place finish in 4:11.25
Competition will resume tomorrow morning with the 100 back, 200 breast, 500 free, 50 free and 400 medley relay. Prelims begin at 9 a.m. (CT) and finals start at 5 p.m. (CT).
