James, Leonhard Honored By Walter Camp

Wisconsin football players continue to accumulate postseason accolades as a result of their contributions to the Badgers' outstanding 9-2 season in 2004.
Defensive end Erasmus James was named a first-team Walter Camp All-American at the ESPN College Football Awards Show Thursday evening. Defensive back Jim Leonhard was named to the Walter Camp second-team for the second time in his career.
James, also a first-team All-American according to ESPN.com, has been a finalist for the Nagurski, Lombardi and Bednarik Awards and has traveled the awards banquet circuit from Charlotte, N.C., to Houston to Orlando this week. He returns to Madison on Saturday. James is still a finalist for the Ted Hendricks Award.
Leonhard was in New York City on Tuesday to be recognized by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame as one of 15 National Scholar-Athletes. Leonhard will travel to Newport Beach, Calif., on Saturday as one of three finalists for the inaugural Ronnie Lott Trophy, given to the defensive IMPACT player of the year.
The Badgers resume practice Friday, Dec. 10, as they prepare to play Georgia on New Year's Day in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla.
