James Named to FWAA Team

Wisconsin defensive end Erasmus James has been named to the 61st Football Writers Association of America's 25-player All-America team, the organization announced Saturday.
James, a finalist for the Nagurski, Hendricks, Lombardi and Bednarik Awards, was named the 2004 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year. He also was a consensus first-team All-Big Ten pick.
He already has been a first-team All-America choice of the Walter Camp Foundation, the American Football Coaches Association and ESPN.com.
James leads the Big Ten with eight quarterback sacks, despite missing the equivalent of 2 ' games this season.
Wisconsin will face Georgia in the Outback Bowl in Tampa on Jan. 1. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. CST with ESPN providing live television coverage.
