More Honors For James
December 20, 2004 | Football
Badger defensive end Erasmus James has been named the national defensive lineman of the year by the Touchdown Club of Columbus (Ohio), the organization announced Monday.
James also was named a first-team All-American by College Sports Television (CSTV).
Already a consensus All-America choice for 2004, James will be honored by the Touchdown Club of Columbus at the group's 50th Anniversary Awards Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 5.
James, of course, led the Big Ten in quarterback sacks this season with eight. He and his Wisconsin teammates will wind up pre-bowl week practice on Wednesday. They will take a couple days off before heading to Tampa on Christmas Day.
The Badgers will face Georgia in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1, 2005. ESPN will carry the game live, with kickoff set for 10 a.m. CST.
