Freshman Diver Ciara Rinaudo (Pheonix, Ariz.) was named the Big Ten Diver of the Week for the second week in a row, the Big Ten conference office announced today.
Rinaudo broke an 18-year old school record on the one-meter springboard and a two-year old record on the three-meter board at the UW-Milwaukee dual meet last Friday at the UW Natatorium. She scored 314.93 on the one-meter and 316.65 on the three-meter board as the Badgers defeated the Panthers, 166-72.
'Ciara's doing a great job,' said Wisconsin diving coach Tom Michael. 'She is progressing exponentially and I'm looking forward to seeing her grow more this season.'
At the dual against Iowa last Thursday, Rinaudo placed second on the one-meter board (236.33) and third on the three-meter board (246.38).
This is Rinaudo's second weekly conference honor and second of her career.
