
UW-Green Bay Shuts Out UW-Parkside at Badger Blast

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay shut out the University of Wisconsin-Parkside 5-0 on Saturday afternoon in game two of the Badger Blast at the Goodman Softball Complex. UW-Green Bay pitcher Katie Conney went the distance as she scattered just three hits over seven innings while striking out three.
The Phoenix were led by first baseman Vanessa Lefan as she went 2-4 with 2 RBI, Conney who was 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored and shortstop Jenna Woepse who scored three runs. The Rangers of UW-Parkside, who committed four errors in the game, got hits from right fielder Amanda Miller, designated hitter/pitcher Mandi Andrews and second baseman Christine Holthus.
