UW fell behind quickly in the first half trailing 33-25 at the break. Despite placing four players in double figures led by Janese Banks with 15, the Badgers didn't have enought offensive power to gain ground on Illinois. Jenna Smith led the Illini with 16.

The Badger defense stymied MSU, which shot just 27.4 percent, but the Badgers couldn't capitalize recording its fewest points of the season.
