Badgers close out fall season

The University of Wisconsin softball team wraps up its fall season on Thursday, Oct. 2, as the Heartland Community College Hawks travel to Goodman Diamond to face off in a double-header. Game one will start at 4 p.m. with the second game starting at approximately 6 p.m. sportid=126"> --> Live stats will be available for both games.
The Badgers are coming off two wins at last weekend's Fall Festival where they defeated MATC, 23-1, and UW-Green Bay, 3-1. The team also played its annual Red/White scrimmaged on Sunday, with the White team triumphing over the Red, 7-0.
Thursday's games are free to attend and free parking is available in lots 60 and 76 next to Goodman Diamond. After Thursday's games the Badgers will spend the rest of 2008 training for the 2009 season which kicks off on February 6, 2009 at the Cathedral City Kickoff in Palm Springs, Calif.
